Not really good at updating my journal these days. Suppose it has something to do with not being all that into BL anymore. Nothing wrong with BL - but everything, even hot m/m sex, gets old at some point - and I do know that most of my flist is on that flist because of the hot m/m love. Not saying that I won't write it again or that Lemons and Cream wont have a revival at some point, but for now I'd like to focus on other things...
Which brings me to the good news of the day: One of my short stories was accepted for the Interfictions II anthology, to be published by The Interstitial Arts Foundation and Small Beer Press in November. Needless to say I am thrilled about this sale. I loved the first Interfictions anthy and am extremely honored to be in the next. :)

10:20 pm - Beware - the wicked faeries...

It's my birthday today, and thus a good opportunity to update my long neglected LJ.
Lovely day - First I, livvydarling and my son spent most of the day in the park across the street, then we ate shrimps and now we're about to paint another wall in Livvy's new apartment (which is in the same building as mine). A great way to sped one's 23*cough*rd birthday. I got presents too - and there will be ice cream.
Writing-wise I have a new story out from Torquere. Glitter and Dust is a M/M/F faerie tale. The blurb reads:

Glitter and Dust was a blast to write and even if menages (or menages involving a girl) aren't your cup of tea, I'd still recommend it if you like my writing - because I'm kind of happy with it, and that doesn't happen too often...
We have a new story up at Lemons and Cream as well, A Promise of Garnets in Winter was first published by Torquere about three- four years ago. Now the rights are reverted to me and the fabulous livvydarling agreed to illustrate it.

We both fell in love with Nethel aka. The Bastard Prince all over again while working with the text, and it's really nice to have it out there again, now with gorgeous illos.
I shall now not pimp anymore but go downstairs, find a paintbrush and make myself useful. ;)

So... here I am, the day before Christmas, fingers full of band aids and finally not smelling., after three days of being little ms. stinky.
Reason: bathroom is all wrong again. Water all over the floor, pipes blocked by god knows what . And of course, this Christmas I'm staying at home, which means: I had to clean and get things ready. Easier said than done when you dirty water is going nowhere. And since dirty water is going nowhere... no shower, no laundry done, no nothing. Only good thing is that the toilet is still working.
Oh, and my fingers are full of blisters from spooky chemicals.
Also; while being all stressed out about the plumbing, I lost my cell phone in the toilet, because it was wrapped in a table cloth (don't ask). It appears to be pretty much dead.
Ah well - better go do my dishes (in a plastic bucket on the bathroom floor.)

Much to the amazement of friends and family, drunken Gordon James has become a world famous poet under the name of Gordon Veil. As fantastic as that might seem to all who knew him then, the story of how Gordon made his new life is just as amazing, and far more magical.
A chance meeting with a fairy in a bottle of absinthe leave Gordon questioning his life, and his denial that he finds men attractive. Can it be the fairy who gives him everything he needs, from some hot loving to a new life?
This story is written for Torquere's Arcana line, and Gordon's tarot card is Seven of Cups.
livvydarlings beautiful absinthe faerie (points to icon) is currently gracing the front page over at Lemons and Cream. The faerie was drawn specifically for this story and the illo is everything I asked for, and more. :)
This story is however likely to be my last Torquere story. Not because I no longer like the amazing press, but because I no longer write gay romance. I'm sorry folks, it just stopped. :( Now, this does not mean that I no longer write yaoi, because that is something quite different... ;)
And now to the really interesting part...

we have updated Lemons and Cream with a new spiffy store front with links to our Lulu books. You can have a look at the wonder here:
We also have a new "stories and art" section called Carnival, where we'll put finished short-stories and novellas. Currently Magenta is there, a short from our Fairytale Collection based upon the tale of little red riding hood. The story comes with a gorgeous illo.
